Product Review: Dior Forever Couture Perfect Cushion Foundation
Wanted to get the limited edition packaging for this but I was too late and it was all sold out before I could get my hands on them. Nonetheless, since I was already at the Dior counter I got the sales assistant to try this on me and I.fell.in.love.with.it.immediately.
This product claims to give you a 24h wear high perfection with a luminous matte finish and contains some skin care properties to give you 24h hydration. I've not tried it on for the full 24h, but can attest to the luminous matte effect. On my oily-combination skin, it does not make my skin look even oiler - just the right amount of dewy-ness. It has buildable coverage that you can build up to conceal even the reddest spots.
I got the shade in 1CR because that's all that they were left with but it does pull a bit pink on me. 1W or 1N would have been a closer match for me. ):
The one thing I'm not so keen about, is that I'm not sure if they sell the refills for this, making it kind of pointless as a cushion. Straight out of the box, it does not come with the refill- that's $92 SGD a pop, which is really pricey for a cushion especially when the korean brands provide a refill. For reference, Laneige sells 1 cushion + refill for ~$59 while Sulwhasoo's cushions are priced at ~$80 SGD for cushion + refill. I mean, I know you can't really compare between them because of their different functions etc but from a value perspective, it's not the best out there.
Here's how it looks on me:

All in all, this cushion really impressed me. Absolutely love the luminous matte finish. If you are willing to pay for this, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, I think it's worth exploring other options for something more inexpensive.
That's it for my review, thanks for reading! :)
